The interface is 100 times better than commercial weather services, and maximizes the information available on every screen. They offer historical data too, which most sites do not. None of those obnoxious self-playing videos with a weatherman yelling at you through gusting wind, either.
The best part, though, is the hourly weather graph which lists every type of weather and exactly when and how much of it you'll get. Other sites say "you'll probably get between 2-10 inches of snow over the next 2 days!", weather.gov shows you exactly what the odds are, when the snow will be heaviest, and exactly how much is forecast to fall. Beats the pants off the bloated, graphics-heavy cruft on most other sites.
Just go to weather.gov, put your zip code into the box in the upper left corner, then scroll down the following page until you see the box labeled "hourly weather graph" on the right hand side of the page.
