ELI5: If we don't think homosexuality can be 'cured', then why do we think pedophilia can be treated?

Wait, before hitting the downvote button, I'm not saying homosexuality is a disease or that pedophilia is good. I'm just saying, neither are unnatural as they have both been observed in other animals (i.e bonobos).

Now obviously consenting homosexuality is not harmful, but pedophilia definitely is. But in the end, it's still a sexual orientation. If we think we cannot 'treat' homosexuality and 'convert' the person into heterosexuality, then how can we think we can make a pedophile a non-pedophile (without something like castration). I'm just curious.
